About Casa Colosseo

Casa Colosseo is a beautiful apartment on Piazza del Colosseo with an extraordinary view of the Colosseum and the Palatino. It is a large, sun-lit, and private 140 sqm. property on two floors in a private building staffed by a full-time concierge and accessible by elevator. The apartment is on the second floor, and has two living rooms facing the afternoon sun and sunset, a dining room, a library, kitchen, and a sizable entrance hallway foyer. It is suitable for up to five adult guests. There are two private bedrooms with king-size double beds and ensuite bathrooms, and a third single bed alcove with bathroom on the mezzanine floor. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, cutlery, and tableware, and the dining room has a formal dining set and an adjustable table for up to ten guests. The apartment features polished wooden floors, authentic Beidermeier furniture, handmade sheets and linen, original paintings and artwork, and an extensive and eclectic book collection. There is central heating, airconditioning, cable TV, and free wifi. The location is private, secure, and conservative, and served by a number of local supermarkets, numerous restaurants and bars, a convenient metro and bus, and a taxi stand at the building entrance. The apartment is offered exclusively as a single booking residence, and is unique in retaining much of its old world fittings and charm, the quality and tastefulness of its interior decoration, and its central location, extraordinary view, and price.

Italy can be sometimes disorganized, chaotic, and maddening. We understand that, which is why we strive to be as professional, prompt, polite, and as personable as possible. The apartment is cleaned and prepared as carefully as possible, we work with and are represented by only those people we trust and have verified, and we’ll resolve any difficulties, requests, or problems as quickly and as efficiently as we can.

Casa Colosseo is our family home, where we have grown up, gotten married, and raised children. Because of this we are extremely proud of the house, its family history, and its importance to us. It’s a beautiful apartment, and we’re trying to offer something unique; a single property offered to a sole-occupant client, not rented by room or shared with anybody else. The apartment is yours, so we hope you will enjoy it – and respect it – as much as we do.

We may not be able to answer all your questions, but we’ll do our best, and advise you on anything about Rome and your stay that you might ask. We’ll arrange a unique in-house catering service for you, or your own private day-long guided tour, and be friendly and helpful in all our conversations. And if you want to be left completely alone to enjoy the privacy of the apartment, we’ll do that too.
